Grandview first opened on May
22, 1973, and is located in southwest Edmonton. The centre has 179
continuing
care beds providing services to dementia and chronically
disabled residents as well as special program beds designated as orthopedic sub-acute.
Special Care Units
Secure - For residents with dementia who are ambulatory
and at risk of leaving the building.
Supportive - For residents in middle to later stages of
dementia who require supportive care, but are not able to leave
the building independently.
Comfort - For residents in later stages of dementia who
require enhanced care, but are not able to leave the building independently.
Grandview also operates the orthopedic
sub-acute
program and the hip fracture program.
Care Team
The care
team
meets regularly to identify and address the needs of residents through
team meetings and ongoing interdisciplinary consultation.
