Laurier House Strathcona opened on August 30, 2001. It
is a 42-bed
supportive living facility that offers nursing care in a home that residents
own through a life lease.
This is the second life lease continuing care centre operated by
CapitalCare. Residents who require continuing care can live independently
in a private suite. Couples can continue to live together, which
is generally not possible in a traditional continuing care centre.
