CapitalCare's second residential family style living environment
for people with Alzheimer disease, McConnell Place West, opened on
February 12, 1998 and has 36
supportive living beds.
The centre emphasizes maintaining each person's independence and
dignity in a home-like environment and include a large outdoor
area. Residents are encouraged to participate in familiar activities
such as gardening, housecleaning and baking.
