CapitalCare Norwood, the founding centre of CapitalCare
(known then as Hospital District #24) was built in 1963.
Norwood has recently undergone a remarkable transformation.
The restoration involved redevelopment of units to accommodate more
private and semi-private rooms, relocation of therapy services,
purchase of new furniture and replacement of building systems.
Norwood is located in central Edmonton. The
centre has 235 continuing care beds and offers many different programs
that are customized to meet the individual needs of our residents.
Norwood also operates several different programs
such as:
Brain
Injury Unit (North Horizons)
Chronic
Ventilator Unit (Red Eagle Ridge)
Medical
Sub-Acute
Palliative
Hospice
Transition
Program
Care Team
The care
team
meets regularly to identify and address the needs of residents through
team meetings and ongoing interdisciplinary consultation.
