Bequest builds bistro at CapitalCare Norwood Palliative Care
It’s not often that someone leaves their life savings to a hospital. But Walter Hubschmid was more than happy to give what he had to the centre where he spent his final days. With no wife or kids of his own, he chose to give his $250,000 in savings back to CapitalCare Norwood.

create a more home like environment in our centres,
provide specialized equipment to assist in providing care and enhanced quality of life for many of our residents,
provide financial resources that help our staff access training and educational opportunities.

All of this is focused on improving the experience of our residents, their families, caregivers and loved ones while in our care. As leaders in continuing care, CapitalCare is pioneering innovative programs that link the organization and the community. The Foundation plays an important role in establishing and providing stewardship to these partnerships with individuals, families and other organizations.
